What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Logfiles: Like most online service providers, we collect information that web browsers, mobile devices, and servers typically make available. This information are collected in logfiles. In our case, these data are collected by our hosting provider. The collected information includes:

  • Browser type.
  • IP address and host name. These are anonymized before they are stored.
  • Language preference.
  • Referring site.
  • The date and time of access.
  • Operating system.
  • Mobile network information.
  • Whether any errors occurred.
  • What content and how much content was accessed.

This data is necessary to backtrack any errors that may occur with our website. It is not stored with or linked to any other personal data that is collected.

This website is a privately maintained website, Noone but the maintainer is required to log in or register. The login page is intentionally not directly availabe from the main interface of this website. Cookies are not required or used for any non-administrative access to this website.

Who we share your data with

We do not sell our users’ private personal information. The anonymised logfiles are collected by our hosting provider. No further data is shared with any third parties.

How long we retain your data

The logfiles we collect are stored up to six weeks.

For cookies, the earlier mentioned time frames are valid. That means, temporary cookies are deleted when your bowser is closed, login cookies are stored two weeks (only if desired), and cookies related to any published article are stored one day.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
